Educational & NTSA Disclaimer

Effective Date: 8 August 2026
This disclaimer explains the educational purpose of SmartDrive Kenya and its relationship with the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA).

1. Independent Educational Platform

SmartDrive Kenya is an independent learning and revision platform created to help learners understand Kenyan driving-school topics and prepare for driving-related examinations.

SmartDrive Kenya is not operated by NTSA and is not an official NTSA website.

2. No NTSA Affiliation or Endorsement

SmartDrive Kenya is not officially affiliated with, sponsored by, partnered with or endorsed by the National Transport and Safety Authority unless this is expressly stated in writing by the relevant authority.

References to NTSA are used only because NTSA is the relevant Kenyan transport and road-safety authority.

3. Educational and Revision Purpose

SmartDrive Kenya provides educational materials that may include:

  • driving theory notes;
  • road signs;
  • road markings;
  • Model Town Board revision;
  • road-safety rules;
  • practical-driving guidance;
  • mock examinations; and
  • Mwalimu SmartDrive Kenya AI-assisted revision.

These materials are provided for learning, practice and revision purposes.

4. Mock Examinations Are Not Official NTSA Exams

Any examination, quiz or test provided through the SmartDrive Kenya Examination Centre is a practice or mock examination.

It is not an official NTSA examination.

SmartDrive Kenya does not claim that its mock questions will be identical to the questions used in an official NTSA examination.

5. No Guarantee of Examination Success

Using SmartDrive Kenya does not guarantee that a learner will:

  • pass an NTSA examination;
  • pass a driving-school assessment;
  • obtain a particular score;
  • obtain a driving licence; or
  • receive approval from NTSA or another authority.

Success depends on the learner’s own preparation, training, understanding and performance.

6. Formal Driving Instruction

SmartDrive Kenya does not replace practical instruction from a qualified driving instructor or an authorised driving school.

Learners should continue to complete any practical training, lessons, assessments and other requirements that apply to them.

7. Official Information Takes Priority

SmartDrive Kenya aims to provide accurate and useful educational material.

However, driving laws, regulations, procedures and examination requirements may change.

Where SmartDrive Kenya content differs from current official Kenyan law, official NTSA requirements or instructions from an authorised examiner, the current official requirement takes priority.

8. Road Safety

Nothing on SmartDrive Kenya should be interpreted as permission to ignore:

  • traffic signs;
  • traffic signals;
  • police directions;
  • lawful instructions from authorised officers;
  • driving instructors;
  • examiners; or
  • applicable Kenyan road-safety laws.

Users must always drive safely and comply with the law.

9. Mwalimu SmartDrive Kenya AI Tutor

Mwalimu SmartDrive Kenya is an AI-assisted educational tool.

AI-generated responses may occasionally contain mistakes, incomplete information or misunderstandings.

Users should treat AI responses as study assistance and should verify important safety or legal information where necessary.

10. Third-Party Names and Trademarks

Names, logos, trademarks and materials belonging to NTSA or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

Their mention on SmartDrive Kenya is for educational, descriptive or reference purposes and does not imply endorsement.
